Frequently assessing your managerial performance through a self audit may be necessary in order to be your best. Being a manager is certainly not an easy job. That said, it can be easier if you take the time to correct your own faults, and capitalize on your strong points. Try asking yourself the following questions:
Are My Meetings Productive?
Meetings exist for a good reason. This is the time in which ideas are shared, plans are made, and strategies are discussed. This should be a productive time, and if you are finding that it is not, changes need to be made.
You may find it helpful to plan what will be covered in the meeting in advance. An outline of what information must be discussed may be helpful. Encourage participation, as you need the input of others if you do not wish to do everything on your own.
